Hi, could anyone (Alfie?) tell me if the latest COMAND, offered on new cars from this month, is available for retro fit, to a 2008 E Class Elegance, the new one has the 6 Cd changer, Bluetooth and Linguatronic. Thanks in advance, Phil

Yes it will be available to retrofit but i'm not sure when though.

These newer comand units (MY2009) will be the hard disk based ones with all the components built into the head unit. So in theory they will be easier and hopefully cheaper to install. As soon as I can get my hands on one I will attempt to retrofit it to a pre MY2009 car :wink: We are fairly confident it will work.
