all lights on boot not working causeing probs

clk convertable 2001 none of the lights on the boot are working -back up /number plate and long brake light and if the boot is open all the dash lights flash and i think sounds like the fule pump operates if the ignitions on with the boot open lots more stage things happen??? eny ideas

Check the wiring loom to the boot lid, over time constant opening and closing of the boot lid can cause the wires to fracture.. ...over to the clk owners !!

Yes all of the wires go through the rear SAM on this car, a fractured wire could be touching another, the cold weather does not help as the wires get hard

if its a 208 then it doesnt have a rear sam, only the 209 has a rear sam!

all sorted earth wire was broken in flexi duct to boot thanks
