Hello All

Can someone tell me how to go about buying the right locking nuts?

I've got a W123 280 CE and i've got some Rondell deep dish alloys 17'', what do the suppliers need to know, Engine/chassis number, name of alloys???

I dont want to mash up my disk threads or the hand brake system

:?:

Cheers

Sorry this doesn't count as a reply as I don't know the answer, but I am interested in getting bigger wheels on my 280CE, for no other reason than to reduce the buzziness at speed (4k rpm at 87mph!!) - How has yours responded to 17 inch rims - any problems with tyre/bodywork clearances (especially on full lock)?
Anyone know if standard alloys are available in 195x15 inch? - I believe the TE had optional 15 inch wheels, but are they available in alloy and are they the correct width?

Hello Dom,

17" alloys will have no problem if you have your original MB springs, In fact you will probably want to lower your car as I did by 40 mm. I haven't actually put my rims on since I got the car lowered (no lock nuts and thieving c&nts about), but from what we calculated even on full lock the wheels wont rub the arches.
