How effective is alloy wheel (AMG III) refurbishment for scratches and small chips?
Does it last several years or is it short term?

Also what repair options are available? I would prefer a reply here from the real experts :) with experience, rather than the "sales pitch" from the local repairer!

Hi Chas, and good morning, that damage looks like off car damage, and none of it is through the paint, but saying that very hard to touch up.

What I would have tried would be to spray a base coat lightly over, and T cut off, if the paint stayed in the scratch then you may hardly notice it.

Very hard to really answer, the damage is not sufficient to warrant a complete refurb,, I would ask a body shop if they could just re spray them

Thanks Malcolm.

They don't look like they need the "full works", hopefully a touch up of sorts will suffice.

Very nice looking wheels.

When I do small chip repairs you can never use a brush as it would stick out like a soar thumb, by spraying with a wheel paint just one light pass and left to dry, it could stay in the bottom of the scratch, some do some dont, it does not cost much to try it
