Thinking of using WickedWheels in Crawley to refirbish my SLK wheels. Has anyone used them, good / bad experience etc.
They will remove the wheels, keep the car in their workshop, remove the tyres, shot blast, prime, powder coat, oven bake, refit tyres, re ballance and refit the wheels.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Do they offer any guarentee for their work? How much are they charging?
I used "The Wheel Specialist" WWW.thewheelspecialist.co.uk, I can thoroughly recommend them, same day service, gave me a tour of the workshop facilities, put me at ease by showing me examples of their work and it is guarenteed for 12 months, same day service too.

Spoke with WickedWheels, cost for complete refirb £55 + vat / wheel. Looks like the same spec as thewheelspecialist, no firm guarantee given, will visit works before I decide.
Also mentioned the centre caps, they suggested that it may be better to purchase them from MB at a good price.

Had a look, loads of badges, did eventually find the centre caps, did you purchase yours from the company in Hemel Hempstead? Was thinking of purchasing the chrome ones. Going to visit WWheels for a factory visit before I decide who to use.

The ones in the link auction were the ones I bought, fitted perfect, they were alloy base colour with the star and the beading round the edge picked out in chrome.

Wheels

Graham, I used wicked wheels in Crawley to re do my very tatty W210 2001 alloy wheels and they came up like new, we used an AMG colour rather than I think what they called "Diamond Cut" as the wheels were pretty bashed up and they said I would get a better finish, but they came back looking like new and have made the car look clean and more "Mercedes" again.

They also get rave reviews on some of the other classic car websites.

Took the car to WickedWheels in Crawley, they did exactly what they promised including spraying the inside of the wheels the same finish as the outside. Tyre pressures correct and checked the wheel nuts with a torque wrench to correct settings. Must say that I am very pleased with the service and the quality of finish. The wheels were in poor condition, now look like new with the origional blue centre caps cleaned up. Will only use car shampoo and autoglim polish on them now. Will be interesting how long they last and if any corrosion from the alloy attacks the paint.
