Alloy wheel refurb

Hi folks. I drive a 2013 C180 W204 Blue Efficiency. I love the alloys that are fitted to the car, in fact I have two sets the same so I can put winter tyres on quicker. What I'm thinking of doing is having the wheels cleaned up, repaired if necessary and powder coated. The car is Tenorite grey which is a gunmetal grey and I'm wondering what finish would look best. A friend has suggested black chrome but I'm just wondering if anyone with a similar colour car has did this and has a suggestion?

When I had mine done I looked at Grey wheels and they don't go well with that colour

Those look good. Yeah when I first had the thought I was thinking of getting them matched to the car but a mate said that never looks right.

Unless your brave (red) the options youll have (and theres not many) are

Grey
Silver
2 tone grey & polished or black & polished
Black

Go with your heart on wheels I say!

Why not sell the 2nd set and buy an alternative set? Already in the finish you desire? Wheels make a HUGE difference on a car

They were painted but I am going to have them done in a gloss black powdercoat

i am a big believer in keeping wheels AND most everything else in good clean std condition. i would not buy a car that looked iffy on its origional factory wheels, but where needed i would refurb to std

I do agree, my wheels need looking at, the polished outer rim’s clear coat is pealing, I will strip and polish these and recoat. I like my wheels bright
