A little while back someone mentioned on this site that his wheels were in a bit of a state, and various people pitched in with suggestions. Here's mine.
I recently got a three-year-old C320 estate, and the original owner had kerbed the wheels quite badly. They were an upgrade, and I was keen to keep them looking smart.
I got in touch with a guy called Greg at Amazing Alloys in Reading (www.amazingalloys.co.uk) and sent him a digital photo of the wheels. He sent me a piece of coloured card from Mercedes to make sure it was an exact match, tipped up at my house in central London first thing yesterday morning, drove the car off to his workshop and returned it before I'd got back from work. The all in fee was £260, and all I can say is that they look like new wheels. Unbelievable. It makes the car look so much better.
They'll probably only stay like that for a week before I scuff them myself, but at least they'll be a lot better than they were. Money well spent.
I should also say that I have no other connection with this guy or his company - it just struck me as a very good service and I thought I should share it.
