I Know This Might Sound Daft But Would It Be Ok To Use My Original Tyres Even Though They Are On 15 Inch Wheels

I have a feeling no one has answered this because your all doubled up on the floor next to your computers? so i'll do it,16inch rims 15inch tyres means the hole in the middle of the tyre is an inch too small for the sixteen inch rims,I guess its not such a stupid question if you understand absolutley nothing about tyres or the numbers on the sidewalls???. Mike. ps answer is noooooooooooooo!

You will find a lot of very useful information here: carbibles/tyres

It may look very technical, but just take the time to go through it...much of what you need to know is in the first few paragraphs/sections. HTH

Hi,
205 tyre width is not too wide for a 202 c class mine has 215 on the front and 225 on the rear and their 17" rims and that was from the factory.

I must say Cobe, that was very diplomatic. I'm impressed.

Not really, but it doesn't take a genius to fathom that 15" tyres onto a 16" wheel won't go.

Nice try though. ;)

A diesel
The offsett of the rim is too small. You need spacers to bring the wheel further out on the hub.

Yeh, hope you had a Happy Christmas and have a very prosperous New Year. Nothing wrong with a bit of ribbing is there? Especially at such a silly question.

See what I mean - know what does that mean?

Who, me? ;)

But I suspect you knew that anyway.

And anyway, even a thicky like me knows you can't put 15" tyres on a 16" wheel. I seriously suspect he was having a brainstorm of some kind. Either that, or he knows how to get a quart from a pint pot.
