Am I being conned? - Advice needed

I'm having an old 1972 250 CE (114 type) coupe restored and have been looking around for a leather interior.

Someone has contacted me and offered the interior from a 1991 300CE, saying that even if the consoles don't fit, then the seats definitely will and the door panels & carpets might. Can anyone confirm this?

While you're at it. I'd appreciate knowing what models might have crossover parts suitable for the CE. Interiors in particular, but anything else too.

I don't want to miss this if it's a genuine chance, but equally don't want to get ripped-off. Any help most gratefully received.

any seats from any car can be made to fit same applies to the carpet your just being conned mate! my merc driver seat needs replacing just wish it was so easy!
