Amber light on c200

This is my second Mercedes, the other being a 58 plate diesel 220. I now have a 65 plate c200, but on both cars an amber light keeps appearing, when our mechanic runs diagnostics nothing shows and the light goes out, but today after 6 days it’s appeared again. Any ideas please?

Hello and welcome, I suggest going to the mechanic when the light is on. The EML goes off after so many start up so I believe.
The code should still be stored tho.

As above, the code will be stored so no need for the light to actually be on

The mechanic is fobbing you off or is clueless.
Get another mechanic/opinion.
