I bought a 2023 glc43 in December and since them having continual 12v battery warning issues and emails from the app stating my battery is at critical low levels. Every time I take it to the dealership they say the battery is fine. It has been in and out of the shop every month since I bought it and they cannot figure out the issue. Anyone else having this problem and have a solution? They can't find anything that is draining my battery? I am so frustrated requested a buy back review under lemon laws...I would really love to keep the car if they can figure out how to fix it. Thoughts?

Hello and welcome,

Common issue the “Mercedes Me” uses your battery to tell you your battery is low…
Reality is that the app is overly sensitive and that all modern cars have a huge demand on the electrical system (including when switched off).
Best option is keep the car on a battery conditioner when not in use

This is so not true, I run the Mercedes Me App and now Mercedes have found a temporary fix, I have no issues, although the temp fix is far from ideal.

The problem that everyone is experiencing is the auxiliary electric coolant pump that runs on longer than it should when the vehicle stops running, I was informed that unfortunately, there isn’t a permanent resolution available for the issue currently. Mercedes Benz are working on a fix, I was told that there was a quick process to temporarily resolve the issue until Mercedes Benz give further instruction, which was likely be a software update, the quick fix is after approximately 20 minutes after the vehicle has been locked, if the vehicle is unlocked and locked without opening any doors – the operation of the auxiliary coolant pump is interrupted stopping it from discharging the battery. This can be done with the key or via the Mercedes Me app.

Perhaps everyone experiencing this problem should communicate together and receive financial compensation form Mercedes, what do you all think?

I thought MB were just using the electric water pump with the 48V Hybrid engines no idea they were using it on the 12V engines

I thought that would be obvious!! for having a car that spent more time in the garage than it did on the road, months down the line the software programme still not being sorted, the only fix is unlocking and locking the door after 5 minutes of turning the engine off, otherwise the battery drains continuously, perhaps other people are happy spending money on cars like this and having these issues???

Yep, that's what I do.
Also, twiddling about with the MBUX, sat nav, and checking the oil level while the car is stationary drains the battery.

I have not had an issue with my 12V battery yet; however, my car is always garaged and left unlocked.
I leave it on the CTEK overnight if it's had short runs, especially in cold weather.
Also, my 12V battery is in the boot...not the warmest of places for a battery.

Im glad I found this thread. I have had the 12v Battery Starter warning come up for weeks. The car starts fine. I have had a volt meter on the battery and it shows 14.7v when charging but at rest the highest the battery shows is 12.3v. The battery was replaced under warranty in February for the same issues and here we are again.

I have had their mobile service out and they have carried out lots of software upgrades including door modules but it hasn't improved. Ive done over 100miles over a 2hr period and still nothing changes. I suspect a dodgy batter again, but looking around the internet, this appears to be a worldwide issue that Mercedes don't want to admit.

I welcome any news or updates on this as I am beginning to fall out with the car. :(
