- CLS 63 AMG S Shooting Brake 2017 (C218)
Hi,
I just bought a 3 year old CLS63 AMG S Shooting Brake and I called MB to find out if I could take out a used car service plan. The answer was yes and the price was much lower than I thought and not far off what I paid for my used E class estate a few years back, so I went for it. My question is have I made a mistake? By the time this service plan is done the car will be 7 years old, with a full MB dealership service history, but I am concerned about MB trying to constantly add on stuff and pressurising me to do work that is not covered by the plan. I like my local MB dealership, but they have already said that just because it is an AMG model, the basic rate is £150/hour, even if what they are working on is identical to non-AMG models.
I guess my question is actually this - Does it make any difference if I use an independent garage for repair work and the MB dealership for servicing?
Thanks,
