AMG Wheels

Wheres the best place to buy an AMG 17" wheel & tyre package for my R170 SLK200K? I currently have the 16" SLK320 5 Spoke on at the moment but want some AMG`s very soon.
Also is there specific sizes of wheel that can only be fitted to a vehicle as the diameters/widths will effect the speedo reading wont it??

The answer to the second part is that the speedo reading would only be altered if the external circumference of the tyre is altered. If the overall circumference of the running surface of the tyre remains the same the car will still cover the same distance per rotation of the axle. So a larger wheel with a proportionately lower profile tyre needn't necessarily change the speedo reading. The width of the tyre should not affect the speedo reading.

So far as where to buy wheels I guess MB themselves or if you aren't filthy rich with a desire to become poor you could try the dreaded eBay.

Better check with the MB dealership before fitting bigger wheels.
I have a SLK230K that has factory fitted 17" wheels from new. When these where ordered, modifications were needed to the car to accept the bigger wheels.
For the maximum width allowed with 17" wheels:
Front 8x17 ET35 with 225/45/17
Rear 8.5x17 ET35 with 245/40/17

For 18" Wheels:
Front 8x18 ET32 with 225/40/18
Rear 8.5x18 ET35 with 255/35/18

For 19" Wheels:
Front 8.5x19 ET35 with 225/35/19
Rear 8.5x19 ET35 with 255/30/19

Just remember the bigger the wheels the harder the ride gets and the tramlining may affect the steering a lot

Thanks for the info, sounds ****** obvious now, when reading about it, hence im going to put a bag over my head now!!
