I have a problem.

My A-class (Y reg) wont start when turning ignition.

Attempt 1 : fired but no start
Attempt 2: fired but no start
Attempt 3/4/5: No firing just clicking, with start error displayed.

Am I right in thinking my batteries gone flat?

When you say "fired", it has to be turning over to fire, so, is the starter motor turning the engine over or not? If not, check the voltage at the battery. It should be at least 12.5 volts but 11.5 will still turn the engine over. If you have good battery power, check the purple wire (quite thick, about 4-5mm) which exits the car just behind the battery, facing rearwards. This is the wire going to the starter motor. If this is live when you crank, then chances are your starter motor is no good. Labour time for replacing the motor is 4 hours:-(
