Hey up Benzo buds!

Another day, another issue for me :(
Last night at around 10pm my phone alerted me that there was some activity happening on my driveway, so when I looked to see what all the fuss was about I could see on my CLS that the alarm was going off but without any sound?

I know from previous experience on my old CLK 430 that I had to replace the siren as that did eventually stop working. Is this a common problem for the CLS’s too? Or is there a way that it can be turned on and off? I want to get this fixed asap because if it wasn’t for my cctv then I would have had no idea it was going off.

Any help as always is greatly appreciate,
Thanks for you help
Much love
Rick

So is it a faulty siren I’ve got and replacing it will sort the issue mate?

Silent alarm sirens aren't just on MBs .... my Omega's siren died too. But they had a tendency to set on fire too!

I don't see any practical reason why batts can't have their own compartment within siren design. I opened up my old one and found the design is a self destruct job. Not very economic or "green"
I find maker green credentials a major load of b /s.

There’s a switch on the centre console / dash to turn off the interior sensors and the tow away protection.

A new alarm siren and you'll be good to go again. No programming required but you'll need a security torx bit to remove the old one.

Alarm siren

Edit. Even cheaper siren.

Just replaced the one on my 2005 E class. Started randomly; only at night, going off. £107 from MB in Newcastle

Oh no! I hope Money Pit doesn't read your post, it's 2005 E Class..... It'll be looking for something else to furbish her insatiable appetite for parts :(
