Hi & Welcome,

Is this an advert from the dealership? if so it should just peel off.

Heat it up with an hair drier and carefully peel off, if you decide to use a scraper be careful not to damage the heated window.

Usually the best way to remove decals is to use a hairdryer, heat the decal with the hairdryer and peel off.

If its hard baked by the sun,do it in the sun when its warm, sometimes the glass can be damaged by the adhesives used. Residue left on the screen can be dissolved with Lighter fuel, this will not hurt any part of the car.

If using any type of potentially toxic liquid in a confined place ensure that there is plenty of ventilation, doors open etc. so that fumes do not build up.

Its Ok lighter fuel is not very toxic, hardly any fumes, I use it everyday as it is safe on plastics

Annoying Decal Removed!

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to say thank you for all your kind suggestions regarding the decal on my rear window on my A class. :)

I removed the offending sticker with the help of my hairdryer this afternoon, and it came away without much resistance! I now have a clear view in my rearview mirror.

Thanks,

Daryl

In 20 years, you/someone else may have been glad of that sticker. An original, supplying dealer sticker all adds to the appeal of an old/classic car. Still, no good if you could not see out of your rear window.
