So, not content with my nice new S Class... I have just bought this beast!!
Before my W221 was unceremoniously written off in a collision with a Toyota Yaris back in June, ("You should have seen the other car" comes to mind....) I used it pretty much as a works van. I would load up the boot with tools, the back seat with step ladders and the roof bars with all manner of stuff.... It was never a problem, as the seats were black nappa and easily cleaned and after a good spruce up before my frequent travels into Europe on holidays and battlefield tours, you would never know...
I replaced the damaged 221 with a 222, but there was a problem. The new car has very light grey seats and carpets, and doesn't really lend itself to the work prowess of the 221... So I spotted this on Ebay. One owner, MB dealer selling and after a bit of haggling, got it for a bargain price with 2 year warranty and a service plan. 65k on the clock... it has cruise control but no aircon.... Not much in the way of retrofits I can do to it, but it will serve a purpose to save the 222 from being used as a work van
