Hi all. I have been lurking for a while and reading some very good and informative posts, so decided to join up.

I currently drive a '98 E280 Avantgard which has been a total pleasure to drive for the past 5 years of ownership. With the exception of a few tyres, battery and crank sensor, the car has been faultless.

Hoping to contribute where I can, and pick the brains of the knowledgeable members before I change the car later this year. I'm after a CL55AMG or CL500

Hello and welcome to the MB forum. The CL500 is still a dream car in my eyes,,though I run the SL500, when I am too old to go around topless, maybe thats what I will buy

Thanks for the welcome Malcolm. I'm already at the age where topless is out of the question. But I still turn my head to look at the SL500 every time. A beautiful car.
