Another quick question about gearbox oil

First off drop the oil out the sump, then have the sump off, am I okay to take one of the cooler pipes off and run the car to get the rest of the oil out the cooler and rest of the system??
And will 8L of gearbox oil be enough??

You need a dipstick to measure it properly.

Guessing is not enough. 7.5L is normally fine

Indeed – got one on order.
I have 8L of Merc atf in the garage and just wanted to know if that will be enough?? Or do I have to pick up some more, but at £10.43 inc vat I don’t want a shed load left over
