My W210 has the "diamond cut" 17" x 7.5" wheels with 235/45/ZR17 tyres fitted and I am contemplating fitting AMG 18" x 8" wheels. The offset is the same so I see no reason why they won't fit, however I have several questions that I would like the forum's opinions on...................
1. I intend fitting 235/40/ZR18 tyres, by my calculations this will keep the rolling radius almost the same - is this right?
2. Will these wheels bolt straight on, or will I need spacers / different bolts or can I just use my existing bolts?
3. Will the AMG wheels "clear" the brake calipers?
4. Do I assume that going from "45" to "40" profile will give me a slightly harder ride?
5. Has anyone here fitted 18" wheels to a W210?
Thanks in advance for any advise / suggestions
