...oh, the whoa's of a novice...]
The antenna extension of my 1971 280S was broken off.  Wanting to try and replace it, I was loosening the nut holding the antenna assembly against the front fender, and yep, just as soon as it was loosened, the whole thing fell down into the fender well.  [where it yet remains]
1.  When I get it out of there, will I be able to replace the mast on the original assembly?  Is  there a universal extension that will repair the antenna, or will I have to buy from MB?
2.  I know it's a matter of personal preference, but do most older Merz enthusiasts think that the Becker radio
should be kept and that it is a decent radio?  I can handle having only a radio if the sound quality is pretty good.  Is the radio good enough to drive decent [& four] speakers?  Any precautions?
3.  Is there something I can do to try and fix the Odometer that rarely turns?

Thanks very much.

Thanks, I needed that.  I'll try & fix the antenna & keep the radio.
[Though I had to look up "analogue" in the dictionary.  It didn't say radio, or
anything close, so I'm assuming this is another example of my noviceness.]
