Successfully changed the anti roll bar bushes and links - HOORAY!!

Should I have used a locking compound on the bolts holding the links to the steering assembly? I noticed that there was a blue substance when I took them out.

One should do really but not over important as you would hear them if they came loose.

Congrats on doing it, it transforms the car

That's interesting. Does that mean the car would drive without serious consequence without the anti roll bar connected?

Yes.

Untill you need the precise handling to avoid an object etc, or you drive quite hard, you wouldn't notice a missing roll bar, driving carefully on a good surface road.
