antiroll bar question

Just changed rear coil springs on my c180k (year 2002) w203 and noticed that the rear antiroll bar is rusty at the ends and the n/s edge skin is pilling off with rusty. Is this normal? Should I change it immediately or don't bother?

Clean it down and paint it if you wish to or just waxoil it
