I am looking to px trade up from my e270cdi to a s class 320cdi.
The s class I have seen is an 02 year with 84000 miles on clock.
The main reason I am trading up is my work is mainly chauffeur work to and from airports and london.
Any tips on problems or areas to be aware of with a 5 year old s class.
My current e class did bring me the valeo issue of glycol and atf mixing which was a "surprise".
I have been warned that the s class is all round reliable but due to the fact its a heavy car the suspension is something to ask about, in that it will probably need renewing by 100,000 miles and its £800 a corner with MB.
Any pointers welcome.
Thanks

I look after one with 400,000+ miles on it.

The only thing to go wrong so far is the turbo.

It has had various suspension joints over the years as you would expect.

An ideal car for what you want it for, basically they are a good car, as Black say, they do go a long way

I have a 2002 S320CDi with same mileage. Main problems have been failure of one of suspension struts and spots of rust on wings (MB fixed this recently).
Great economical car, for its size.
Pleasure to drive.
I am hoping to upgrade soon so would be interested to know how much they sell for.
