I really feel it for LH, what an injustice, it goes against the British sense of fair play and way beyond what I consider acceptable. Reminds me of the private equity billionaires attempt to hi-jack the Football Premier League with a Super League (£££££££) and put two fingers up to the fans and we all know what happened there but unfortunately the FIA doesn’t appear to be able to do it’s job like FIFA so game/set/match. It wouldn’t surprise me to see a breakaway formula come together you can’t be the poacher and the gamekeeper it just doesn’t work

I packed up watching it about five years ago. After a life time of bring a big fan I just became very bored with it and havn't missed it at all

In a way I applaud MB, Toto and LH for taking the wider view of the potentail negative effect on F1 so abandoning what would almost certainly have been a successful appeal to the CAS - despite the fact I'm firmly of the opinion that LH was robbed of his record breaking 8th WDC.

My hope is that LH will not retire, that he will compete in the 2022 season with the new cars and rules, and that he will wipe the floor with all opposition and win his 8th in Dec 2022 (preferably earlier!!) and thus raise the proverbial 2 fingers (painted orange??!!) to MV, whinger spice and the rest.

I would ban tyre changes under the safety car unless it was red flagged then everyone comes into the pits to change as is the rule now. I’m not a fan of DRS either as if you’ve fought hard for pole then 2 laps into the race you get passed by a car which becomes 14 mph faster or whatever. If a car gets lapped with less than half race covered there made to retire to clear the track. Would make the lower teams up their game a little. If the lower teams are running the same engine surly this is just aerodynamics and driver. Take Hass. Both have billionaire daddies but got them nowhere. Let’s hope the new cars for 22 are going to address some of the problems we have now.

I enjoyed f1. This last debacle, wrecked that. Rules no governed by money making verdicts. Back to moto gp and superbikes for me. I sure won't be bothering with f1 again.

I have just enough interest (I think) to watch LH try and achieve his 8th title which he richly deserves beyond that I don’t give a hoot if the sport is to be staged managed as Abu Dhabi was even removing MM from post won’t put right the injustice the rot goes right to the top

Not quite sure where the "Far less superior car" claim comes from - RB and MB were pretty evenly matched overall, and MB definitely started the season on the back foot for performance. I would argue that MV took himself out on most occasions rather than taken out by the opposition. Interestingly was watching Drive to Survive the other day with Hamilton coming together with Albon in 2020. Totally different approach from Hamilton afterwards where he held his hands up straight away and apologised saying it was totally his fault. Can't imagine MV (or Whinger Spice) ever admitting a crash was their fault.

Try Wilkins farmhouse cider from Somerset (mail order, Google them). Wonderful stuff, and in his own words "I tell the revenue it's 8%, so that's what I pay tax on". You may, after trying some, think that's being "economical" with the truth, but you won't care 'cos it's a really good cider, slips down far too easily (as do you after a few pints!!).
