Any help appreciated! Sunroof and sat nav

Hi, I’m a new Mercedes owner (in fact I’m a new car owner, got my first car yesterday!) I’ve got a Mercedes c180 (2004), I love it! But there’s a couple of tiny issues I have no idea what to do about, the panorama sunroof doesn’t open, we’ll it does a tiny amount and then it has to be physically forced shut, the man I bought it off did mention this but said it just needed oiling? And a new washer? My partner is happy to do that if that’s what it needs but is it worth just taking it to a garage? Also the sat nav disk is very old and I was wondering if I can get an updated one? I guess it would have more recent new roads etc but would it have better overall performance, the graphics aren’t the best and it’s very slow! Thank you so much in advance for any advice
