Hello, Re the first one, I know that it could be changed, but the Alpine unit sticks out like a sore thumb. I can see from the photos that the drivers seat is worn on the side of the backrest, I know that they all can need attention for that, Price, not too bad.
Second one, no sun roof, and that's nice to have on a 129 though under 7k miles its too expensive for what its got. MB dealers get the info list of extras from there central data base, and they list standard items as extras. here is a list of extras offered 2000 for the 320
ADS, Audio30APS,Auto pilot, glass roof,Audio30 with 6 speakers,Xenon lights(a must if you can)There were some adjustable backrest for the seats, maybe standard on the late ones.
Think carefully about how long you are going to keep the car, I bough one to keep for life,a low milage 320 with everything, but sold it 2 years down the line for a 230 SL500. The 129 is more of a do it yourself car if you are that way inclinned, the 230 is not. Re the second car again if only been used so little, how has the car been stored. Stored in poor conditions, the average UK garage, it could be alive with corrosion underneath.

We have many 129 owners here, they will post their veiws.

i thought the second one has the pan roof...loks like it, kind of tricky to tell. how are you so sure tv? if not, it is about 4k over prices, if it has, still 2.5k over, imo.

the storage is key; i would want to know why so low miles.

the wear to the seat seems to get to all of these cars. my 2000 model i had to reject had the same issue. not too fussed about xenons, they are only seen by other drivers, the glass roof though is a must for me.

I have had a look again at the lst picture and it could have a glass roof, don't know why it was not mentioned. It has got Xenon lamps, believe me they are good. I do not thnk that the first one had them.
As the these car went through life, options of yesteryear became standard on later models.
Could be many reasons for low miles, husband died, widow not wanting to part with it, Who ever bought it new was not short of money, My best friend kept a Jaguar 420G for 10 years and he sold it with 3k miles. If there is no PX involved you can get £2-3k off.

Re the seats: Nappa leather is a swine to match up with colour, but it can be done, I think that the Designo range use Exclusive, this can be re coloured and if treated with a hide food, last much better.
One super thing I did was to change the roller doors and armrest to the 600 spec, take a look at my interior in the 129 pics section, well I liked it any way.
If we get a couple of days without rain, I could go that way round when I go to Bucks and Herts next week.

yeah, i agree. it seems to have a pan roof, but odd that they don't mention it. to be honest, i am not going near it at 25k, that is a comedy price. glass's has it way down on that. trade 18.7k, private a tad under 20, retail 22k.

i have to trade in a 54 clk. i wonder what deal i might get. i think my car is more saleable and is worth a bit more. i might call and see what the deal is. it is a bit of a tricky one. at the end of the day, they need to give me a decent balance to change. the price of theirs and the deal for mine are immaterial, it is te balance to change that matters. if that is in my favour, we will have d eal! if not, im sticking. i know mine is worth more.

helpful advice malcolm, thanks. i like the clk and the economy of the 270 is ridiculously good. but, driving that 129 was a delight and i miss it. insurance, well, an extra 250 is all.

at the end of the day, a 2001 with 7k is crazy mileage and worth a look.
