I note the ECP (and others) dont seem to be able to supply "genuine" MB brake disks.

ECP list "OE" manufacturered disks made by ATE. MB disks from the dealer are about 35% more in cost.

The ATE website states they are "designed to match the technical characteristics of each individual vehicle", and "The use of original equipment manufacturer materials (high carbon content or alloy cast iron with nickel, chrome, molybdenum, copper and titanium content) "

Are MB disks made by ATE? to the same spec? or would I be better off sticking to MB disks?

Don't know if the discs are made by ATE but the master cylinder on my W124 is original and has an ATE logo on it so they supply some if not all of the braking equipment. I would think they are on a par with the MB ones (and it's highly unlikely that MB make their own discs they'll source them from a specialist company which could well be ATE). Hope this helps although apologies if it raises more questions than answers.

i fitted front ate brake pads on my c200 from ecp-they give a good ,sharp, crisp braking action-and they last a long time as well-so in my exerience i would recommend them

i am waiting to install new brake discs from ecp made by ate
i believe they are of good quality and would have no hesitation in fitting them to my merc c200 , having previously tried ate discs and ate brake pads which were fitted on a previpus 190e car that i owned .

just my experience and views on ate and ecp
