have you tried www.mercedes.co.uk then looking at the S-class and selecting the relevant model. What do you need to know anyway?

Thanks for reply! I have been to the the MB UK site However,

The S350 replaced the S320 in 2002 so no details are available. I'm actualy looking for the "fuel Type" as in my previous post i.e. does it run on RON 95, RON 98 or can it utilize both types of petrol? The dealer is travelling down to my home tomorow for me to test drive the S320 (2000 model) so basicaly I wnt to be clear on the type befor I ague the price?

Im sure it runs on 95 ron . 98 is normally only for supercharged and turbocharged cars like the SLK you have Mainly performance cars.:wink: :wink:


If you want to be sure , open the fuel flap and on the back of It will tell you about what fuel to use in the car or look in the handbook.

My SLK320 runs on 95 RON

It'll run on RON95.....my C43 runs on it no probs....

SLK 320 is a 6 cyl naturally aspirated and is only a 3 valve per cyl so , should run on 95 ron.

98 RON helps Supercharged and turbocharged cars and 4 valve per cyl.

It will be 95 RON, but it wouldn't matter really as the engine will have a knock sensor to retard the timing at the onset of knock.

Normally the timing will be advanced as aggressively as it can be without knock. As knock starts the timing will retard.
