anyone got a good fix for a rear window demister

hi has anyone got a good fix for a rear window demister on a c class.i think some of the elements may be broken...cheers in advance

The top 2 dont work as they are your radio ariel if it is a 203 c class.

no most of them dont work and the side ones too

Its just resistance paint. You can buy bottles of it from your local spares shop and paint over the breaks.

I thought the demisting element was sandwiched between layers of glass in the rear window and therefore replacement rather than repair was the only option?

Hi Phil,
I'm fairly sure I can feel the elements on the inside of the glass on mine, plus it would be a lot slower if it had to heat through the glass first. Could be wrong but I think you can get to it.

it seems that the elements are in tact but the feeling i get is that there isnt enough current getting to them to clear properly,also are those lines in the rear side windows demisters too? cheers
