Your Mercedes
2005 C270CDi Avantgarde Estate. Bought 2005, sold 2022.
Is it cheap? I guess £600 isn't a lot of money but it's 20yrs old & done 310,000KM. And it's LHD. The slightest fault and it would be a write off.

6 ton cossie

i'd be inclined to agree with rory i know its a mercedes cosworth and all but would you rather pay 6 ton cash for a vehicle which could insure itself for a decent price(i.e) 20 year old. Then justify spending perhaps 1.5 - 5k making it right OR perhaps pay 2-3k for a much newer car with (hopefully) half the miles(km) and have it rhd to boot?.......(p.s) it would be a good track car for the summer months.....no insurance.....no mot............no tax..........etc.Again its the age vs the wage dilemma(i.e) cheap car now big bills later OR pay that bit more to start with and save later (personally i'd go for the latter as older higher mile cars often cost much more than just money (i.e)time, sweat, inconvenience and heartache and finally tears! but thats just my opinion hope this helps

NO CHANCE!!!!! mercmonkey i wouldn't have bought the 164bhp (or rather 104bhp now at 300k) lhd skip either (and i like rap/and hip-hop) if i was you so a brussell sprout i may be some might say (although hip-hop and rap music is the biggest selling music genre in the world and if the masses are against personal views who is wrong? (1) THEM...... and the family fortunes concept or (2) the other option......just kiddin..!) and like i say i'd rather spend an extra £1500 NOW (and get a newer lower mile cossie) than 5k later on repairs on a 20 year oldmobile with brittle chassis disease.....hope that you don't take it the wrong way but you still win as you have cash and its always a buyers market (p.s) one of the best pieces of advice i have ever been given in life (and not just in the car trade) is:.....never be too eager to buy because you could buy anything and vise-versa never be too eager to sell because buyer becomes wary and may retreat (always hold out for the RIGHT sale or purchase).....peace.....

i saw that car ...dewsbury is 10 miles from me I was very tempted...just for breaking it ..I would not buy it to use looks like a few panels are different colours/marked...not suprised the way they drive in spain where it spent 2 years.. (I work there) but the leather/ wheels and cossy kit would have been nice to have for mine...
