Anyone tell me what this is for ?

Hi,not long had my ML270 and came across this mystery knob located in the same compartment as the cd changer.Any idea what it’s for ?

Hide-away towbar? I have one on my S204 in the rear NS cubby hole, turn it and it releases the towbar down, you pull the hitch round into position then turn the knob back to lock it into place. Obviously reverse procedure to later hide it away again.

Yup, tow hitch, you will need the key for it if you want to fit it.

if there is a number on the chrome bezel where the key goes in, you might be able to get a key for it
