Hi, apologies if this isn’t the right place to ask this but I was wondering if anyone can help me with something. I recently bought a c300d AMG line registered in August 2019. My understanding from what I have read is that all c-class models should come with CarPlay and android auto as standard but mine doesn’t seem to have it available. Any ideas why this could be? Or what I need to do to get it added? I have downloaded the Mercedes me store and it doesn’t appear as available in there.

If you have it in your car it is not wireless you need to connect the phone via a usb cable to centre consul then it pops up on the screen.

The car data sheet should show it if it was part of the build spec.

Thanks for the reply Robin. I have connected my iPhone to the port with the smartphone integration icon but nothing comes up on the display. In a separate issue, I can’t access the data sheet as all the vin decoders are not bringing back any details for my vin. I am assuming in the UK maybe it’s an optional extra and not standard on 2019 c300’s and my car just doesn’t have it.

You should be able to remove the Vin# within 30 minutes if you are worried about security.

I have ApplePlay in our SLC250d, just plug the iPhone in & it works.
However on 2 occasions this didn't happen, & I couldn't find a way to start in up. I plugged my wife's iPhone in & it worked, unplugged hers plugged mine in & it was fine.

Thank you, I have tried my wife’s phone too but no luck. Will try again and a different cable. There is no sign of car play or auto in the menu screen either though on the head unit, not sure if there should be?
