Just replaced as advised by stealer both drop links on end of ARB, as "inner bushes never fail". Problem is noise seems to have got louder! Noise seems to be coming from center of car, is this likely to be the other arb bushes or should I look elsewhere? Also, if it is these bushes can the be replaced with bar insitu? and finally does anyone have part numbers?

This sounds like your prop shaft center bearing that is failing

as Malcolm says could be centre bearing. easy to check as if you get under the car and hold the propshaft near te bearing and try to move the shaft up and down, side to side etc. should be no movement except for in the rubber, and there should be very little in that either! as for the inner anti roll bar bushes, i cant comment about on mercs, but theyre 1 of the commonest items to fail on many cars, ask anyone (including myself) who owned a mondeo!
