Are A208 CLK 230 used spares drying up or am I asking for the impossible ?

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to find a replacement used engine harness for my A208 CLK circa 2000. Mine has suffered the oil wicking issue from the cam magnet and has hit the ECU and just about every plug in the harness so it seems and even after cleaning the plugs, still seeps back out after several cleans.
The part number of my harness is A208 540 2809.
I have sent over 20 messages to various breakers, Ebay listers etc and so far only 1 has got back to me with even any response in nearly 2 weeks. I have managed to source 1 in Germany, but the seller won't ship outside his Country.
Does anyone know of a good one available in the U.K or able to point me to someone who could at least check and respond ? This is turning out harder than rocking horse **** to find and if all else fails, could someone advise me of at least some degreaser I could dump this loom in to soak that won't wash off plug markings to be able to re establish where they came from when I put the loom back on ?
If I have to reuse this loom, it will have to be de oiled where the wicking has occurred .. inside the insulation of the wires.

Have you thought of getting a new loom remade from your old one?
there are classic car electrical companies who can do this.

half the issue will be the effort involved in removing such a thing against what its worth as spares , I'm sure there are plenty of 208's to scavenge from but not the breakers willing to remove everything but the regular parts that sell

I have indeed tried Dronsfields and they are one of the ones that have gone silent on me. I have looked at the link for autosparks and this maybe an option, but for the fact that I could probably buy a whole car for spares for the cost of the remade loom.

Kind of this... It's not a part that ever sells, it's not worth much used, so people either haven't taken them before, or if they have a car there they can't be bothered.

Kind of this... It's not a part that ever sells, it's not worth much used, so people either haven't taken them before, or if they have a car there they can't be bothered.
Much as I can see what you are saying Rob, if that is the case, it seems crazy to me that I am seeing complete engines being advertised for as little as £200 - £250, and the few looms I am seeing are nearly half the cost of the engine. I don't have issues with paying the £100 or so for a loom when new ones are sky rocket money and the cost of another car. I'm trying to save the car that has cost me nearly double market value so far, but it is looking more like these cars are not keepers if new parts have to be obtained for them, as I can't see anyone paying over £700 for a wiring loom etc.
I have even seen engines that have been removed and breakers cutting the looms out instead of maybe disconnecting at the ECU and pulling the loom out complete, giving the option of possible sales of looms. The oil wicking is a known issue and surely this makes sales of used ones viable if good ?

Yep yep yep , id wager a scrap yard that doesn't specialise in MB is more likely to have what you need and be willing to help
