Are all w169 (A class) and w245 (B class) interior parts the same?

I’ve currently got a w169 with full black leather (heated seats)

If I can obtain all the parts I’m wanting to change the whole interior (seats, carpet, dash, boot and all the plastic trim) over to either the alpaca gray or sahara beige interior.

So far I’ve only been looking at w169 models (obviously) but found earlier a door card that was advertised as w169 but also “this fits a w245”

Therefore does everything else fit as well in the interior if I go hunting for w245parts?

Thanks

Almost all interior parts are the same, apart from the [most obvious] steering wheel and top of the dash (there's a "lip" over the centre console in W245).

Door cards actually might not be interchangeable - personally I have never looked at those, as mine is a 3-door version, so definitely no.

Thanks David for the heads up on the dash top, I didn’t even notice that!

I’ll have to double check the plastic popper locations on both door cards as I thought earlier they did look the same on the pictures...

I would imagine everything in the boot including the lower pillar panels (cubby hole locations) is a no no

Actually for the dash I only need the glovebox and the lower panel beneath the steering wheel where the headlight controls are, I’m guessing these must be the same size

As another thought can you actually spray the plastic panels, I know people used to back in the day but we still got cheap plastic panels now?

I'm sure you're right about the boot bits, and yes the glovebox and the cover under instrument cluster are the same, as are the upper, lower and rear centre console parts, but pay attention to facelift power socket - different location, won't fit with pre-facelift upper console - so you might have to cover the hole with some badge ;)

Don't know about painting plastic parts, but it certainly possible to use hydrographics to change their appearance:

If done properly, it will lasts years - I had these parts done for my car over three years ago, and they still look like new:

Only way to check is a vin decoder with the accompanying parts list to be certain.

Cheers

I’ve actually found all the parts I need (still need to check on exact fitting between models) but the only thing I cannot find is carpet. Seen a few in black and beige but none in Alpaca grey?

May have to go custom carpet place to template off mine...

What did you mean by the vin decoder? On the main vin decoder website it only shows me what trim it left the factory? I couldn’t see where I enter any part numbers?

Unless I’m completely off track here :D

I’m having to give up on this as I’m finding about 80% of the trim I need (not the carpet) but obviously it’s used tired/marked trim so it’s not gonna happen

I’ve also got lamella issues but that’s a whole new topic

I believe it was fromD-Class interiors, although I don’t think they do this level of detail to the steering wheels now though as it’s so labor intensive
