Are ml steering racks the same

Hi,, can any-one shed some light on my 2002 ml500. my steering rack looks as though its leaking (bad). will a rack from a 2001 270cdi fit..thanks

The part number 1634600825 is used on both, though there are 2 versions not the same

I can give you are job sheet, but part numbers are hard,MB dealers should be able to tell you, your will have a part number on it
