Thanks psmart. I could always arrange for you to be banned, but that would only make the ratio worse.... ;)

Blobcat, wouldnt worry, mon chéri français has already done that!!!! If you did, she'll grin and give you a leek out of gratitude!!!!!

I have been thinking though of writing a program, in Algol and Cobal to automatically connect with the MBOA and using heuristics and AI, create posts, just so that I can catch up with you and beyond, so that I could become an Uber Moderator..... think of the fun I would have then...... changing SlinkyJoe's Avatar :D

I just think this website has become very Tory Blair now.... all Chiefs...... just think about us poor Injuns.

Thanks Dava..... good to know us plebs exist and stick together :D

I think the balance is about right in terms of numbers of mods. Could probably do with another Administrator though.

Television is a very helpful chap who regularly helps and contributes. Perhaps he should also become a moderator.

Yeah I was wondering the same with his tally of posts and knowledge etc..

Who decides who becomes a moderator?

JBerks and Television would be excellent moderators, being very helpful chaps indeed.... BUT! They would bring order to an ordered world, what we need is a little bit of disorder :D

We should start a poll, but in order to do that, we need proposers!

For Administrator, I propose OmniCognateNeutronWrangler, who is very I.T. o'fay, albeit lacking in the women department (a necessary qualification) and has real life experience of the woes of Mercedes.

For Uber-Moderator, I propose Hawk20, who always jumps in to provide information and be helpful, changes his Mercs when the ash trays become full and just loves Roses!

Any proposers and seconders out there?

the moderators are decided by the admin's of this site, usually by some sort of 'internal' vote in a section of this forum that is only accessible by the site admins/moderators

cheers

I'll second the nomination of Television.

If I was a moderator I would sort out the sometimes appalling grammatical and punctuational errors that we see. ESPECIALLY erroneous apostrophe usage (or lack of usage).

:D

I have not seen this thread as I was away over the New year.

Me a Mod, never thank you, I have always stood on my own two feet sinse 18 years old, when my boss went to work on a bike, and I went by car. I had no choice but to open my own service departments, and have never looked back. Sure I have been heavily involved with very large companies having had many sole service rights for the UK and in Sweden. Seeing the goings on in these companies made me happy that I could stand alone on my own two feet.

You do not need to be very technical to be a Mod, indeed all 6 mods on this forum are not very technical, when it comes to cars. Their main attribute is that they are good with computers and that they all salute each other.

Thank you though, everyone for the thought. Malcolm
