I have a 2017 C Class AMG Line 2 door Coupe. It has only got 38000 miles on the clock since new and has only had light domestic use. The drivers side seat pad has one of the seams split. On many of the MB forums this seams to be a very common problem, that Mercedes do not want to fix, unless the car is under warranty. I have just e mailed customer service to see their response. If as i fear they will just want to fob me off, then my solicitor has suggested taking Mercedes to court over this issue with a group action against them. Has anyone get any joy with Mercedes with this problem?

Glad I've got good old cloth trim in the CLK.

I did think of changing the interior to leather with a complete used interior purchased online for not a lot of money.

Then I thought - why bother, as the fabric seems very durable and isn't as cold on a winter morning.

This thread prompted me to check my wife's C-class which has Artico, and I now see a small mark showing the start of degradation of the vinyl facing on the drivers seat base.

No, but my daughters 2018 C200 coupe had a split in the drivers bolster artico when she bought it.
We took it to SEW Trim Ltd in Botley, Hampshire who removed the seat, replaced the panel and refitted, including resetting the airbag fault that they said would be generated due to it being unplugged, for £100+VAT and you would never know that it has been repaired.
It's a long way from Worcester but, I think, hardly worth a lawsuit!
Btw, I seem to remember the guy saying that he has done the same on many C-class Merc's!

That's a useful recommendation bookmarked for the future - thank you.
