ASD indicator

Recently the ASD lamp came on from the Dash.

Can someone enlighten me as to what this implicates assuming that i don't have an electrical fault.

Any info that can be offered will be appreciated before i go to see the mechanic.

ASD is a differntial locking system if the light is on the system is inoperative, the only time ive had trouble with this sytem was when a car had been on a rolling road and the system had got confused, cleared all the faults from memory and it was ok,

NOTE:-
ADS is a completly different system to do with shockers and damping

How do you clear the memory fault then piestore?
