ASD Light Reset? - ASD Light stuck on

Mercedes 190D 2.5 1989
Hi.  I had  the ASD light stuck on and followed the advice in this forum and replaced the silver relay in the fusebox.

The light is still on and I would like to know whether it needs to now be reset and, if so, can this be done without specialist equipment.  There are no noticeable adverse driving problems to indicate a real fault.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What silver relay!
Behind the battery behind the plastic cover there is a relay with ASD printed on the top. Try removing this for a ten minutes. Then refit. If every thing is ok. Then fine. If it comes on again. I am afraid its into the local "Stealership" as one of our members termed it. Or your local specialist.
