Just had an A service plus combination (carbon) filter done on the SLK by Arrowfleet Maintenance in Cobbs Wood, Ashford. They are the maintenance arm of Arrow Taxis and look after Arrow's fleet of C and E class, mainly 220Cdi, taxis, but are also knowledgeable on petrols. They also have full genuine and legitimate MB Star/Xentry so updated the DSR, and have in the past done update and re-programming of my S204.
Best news of the lot, the total bill including supply of proper oil and carbon filter - not far into 3 figures! Oil that an MB main dealer would charge £9/L for was £3/L. Have used them a few times already - sorted out the dashboard loosing its programming, a battery problem and replacing the screenwash pump (all on the S204). Guess who will be using them again!!
Just round the corner from them is F1 Autocentre where an online booked MoT was £32.50 rather than £50+. Looks like I've got local ordinary servicing for both cars sorted - just don't expect Arrowfleet Maintenance to answer their phone (no answerphone, just 2 guys in the workshop normally out of hearing of the phone!), luckily they're only 7 miles away.
