Hi all,

I will be picking up used A class this week, when I turned on the engine, I noticed that ASR light was on.

The garage said that once I drive off, it will go off. Is this correct or it should not be light up at all?

It should go out seconds after switching on the ignition..basically as soon as the ecu has time to check the system

So I am assuming that if it does not go off after few seconds then it would be a sign of faulty?

It may just be a problem with the brake light switch, the meatier range are famous for it and its relatively cheap

Hi,

Would you describe A 170 class 1.7 auto Elegance range a 'meatier' range?
