Assistance needed - CD Changer

Hi
I have 1997 C230 model.
One of my friend has a CD Changer Model # MC3198 with Car Deck Model # CM1910, that he took out his 2000 CLK.

Please advise if this CD changer can fit in my 97 C230.

No this will not fit as the later one is fiber optic, your car is not

Please advise if I want to install on another Merc that has Fiber Optic, do we need a special code #. If we do need a code, How can I get this code #.
Because the CD changer has no code# , only the S/no

You can ask on the Harman Becker web site for the one that fits your car
