if it is the pre fibre-optic one. If that has a cd-changer control, then there must be an electronic input for the changer signal. All you'd need to do is work out which wires in the loom for the cdc were the audio input/output, and replace or piggy-back those with your mp3 input wires. Then select cdc and theoretically, bob's your uncle.
The only problem I have here is I've never had an MB audio that isn't fibre-optic, so i can't back this theory up.

I have the old Audio 10 with cassette not CD and also wanted to play MP3's.
I briefly dabbled with an FM modulator (poor signal on the move) and finally settled on a good old tape-convertor for £5 at Tesco. Wish I'd done it sooner, it now plays anything at all that has an earphone jack. Sony Walkman, phone, a portable CD or Mini-Disk even!
The sound is actually better than the FM modulator and 100% consistant, regardless on reception.
This won't help you at all if your Audio 10 is a CD player of course ;-)
