Hi all,

I'm trying to replace my E200 W210 (2002) Audio 10 CD head unit with a Pioneer minidisc player. I cannot find a switched live source in the existing wiring. This is proving very irritating as it means the head unit is constantly on. Am I missing something here, and if so could someone help me with a pinout diagram? Also is there a way that I can use any of the steering wheel controls to mute the set? (the Pioneer has a "mute" cable")

Regards,

Whammer

Hi, I've just bought a 2003 E220 cdi classic, and to my amazement when I was buying it - it didn't have a CD player!

Anyhow I'm pretty broke after my recent purchase and I was wondering whats the cheapest way to get a CD player in the car - I assume its a matter of replacing the casette player module ( do they stll make casettes? ) with the CD one.

Also any advice on sourcing one of these modules would be great .. thanks

Sorry - meant to create a new thread for this .. doing so now ..

Loads of mp3 CD players on Ebay - even some that have SD and USB sockets (SD for storing your tunes, USB for plugging a device in). You could easily get one for less than £100.
