Audio 10 display fault

I turned on the radio the other day and suddenly I have a coloured ring of about 1cm diameter on the RHS that obscures text. Any one know of a cure or can this display be changed easily?

It sounds as though the LCD is breaking up. I'd have thought that a repair would be cost prohibitive.

What car is it in - I may have a spare for sale, will check the toolbox in the morning.

It's a 2001 S203 estate but the radio was used across several models I think.
