Hi All

I am new to this forum and woudl welcome your views on how to fix my Audio 10 system with CD Changer.

Whilst on the Radio or on CD it will not show Radio stations or CD selection both on the stereo and on the onboard dash display.

The car is a facelift 2000 CLK W208 230k convertible which was imported as a UK Spec car from europe.

Secondly it does not show the speed in digital mph either!!

Please help.

The speed mph/kmh is probably that the trip computer is set to metric - just go into the menus and change it.
When does the Audio10 show "Service". Can't say I've ever seen that but I have had mine go a bit odd a couple of times and fixed it by pulling the fuse for 30 secs or so.

Before you pull the fuse, make sure you have the security code for the radio.
If your analogue speedo does not show speed in MPH and KPH, you can't change the digital speedo to MPH. It is a UK legislation that all UK cars must display speed in MPH and KMH.

Valid points - but the 2000 facelift clk should have the same dash as the facelift 210 so it should have both listed on the analogue speedo and be switchable on the trip. Tell tale is - does the trip computer show mpg or kml?

The analogue speedo does show mph and kph. It is when you use the steering controls to see the digital speed in MPH it does not work, just tells you when the service is due on that menu. All the trip computer readings are in mpg and does show average mph. Mine is an avantgarde model and I am thinking that it is because it was imported and something to do with having the cluster coded by the stealers?? I have checked my mates car and it works fine!!

With reference to the Audio 10, It shows SERVICE as soon as you switch it on so does not read any Radio stations or tells us which CD track you are on. I have the code and did unplug the unit and left it off for a few minutes. It did not ask for a code when I powered it back on and presented the same error. Any ideas....

Hello Folks,

My father in law has the same SERVICE code showing on his Audio 10, and also on his dash display when in the radio page.

Does anyone know what the problem could be or what the solution is?

Thanks,

Dod.
