I've today become the proud owner of an '06 C180 Avantegarde SE. I'm really pleased with it aside from one tiny little niggle. Amongst all of the gadetry that comes with the SE (Plus Sports Pack) I only have the Audio 20 head unit without the CD changer. This wasn't an issue because two dealers told me that I could play MP3 cd's.
Alas after trying one or two and then reading the manual I found that the CD changer is the only thing capable of playing MP3 cd's and not the headunit alone.
I was pondering my options:
1) Go to a dealer and have the changer fitted. I imagine this is going to be very expensive but will keep my warranty in tact.
2) Go to a local audio specialist. I am likely to get good kit at a lower cost but I'm not sure where this leaves my warranty? (Any ideas?)
Has anyone else had similiar problems? What do you guys think I should do?
