I've got this basic audio in my R230 SL350 and about a week ago I noticed the system wouldn't start up right away. Although the lights were on the screen there was no sound and a message saying there was no Disc changer.

The service battery had been running down so I charged that up disconnected from the car and re-installed.

Everything else seems to work OK/better but I still have the slow start with the audio
When I say slow it takes 3-4 minutes to get going.

    Any thoughts please?

Sounds like one of the devices on the fibre ring is not waking up in good time.

That's exactly what Mark at command suggested

I can put up with a 4 minute delay in start up I reckon rather than start delving into stuff I wont fully understand

    Thanks
